Pogo Parkour - Recipe for Adventure

The Game.

Hungry traveller you must go through distant lands to find the ingredients for a traditional recipe. With your trusty pogo stick, bounce through three hand crafted levels in the search for different ingredients. Can you find all the ingredients needed in time before the sun sets or will you be found by something that lurks in the forest? Good luck traveler!

About The Game.

Pogo Parkour - Recipe for Adventure is a 3D adventure platformer with an unique mechanic. The game features pogo stick jump movement to navigate through its immersive environment. The style of the game is low-poly to provide for a playful feel with its funny mechanic. 

The narrative of the game is about an adventurer, who is cooking himself dinner. However, he is missing on a few ingredients and goes out of his camp to collect them. He encounters puzzles and challenges along the way, but there is nothing stopping him on completing his meal. The dish he is cooking is a traditional Bulgarian Guveche. We decided to include that recipe in our game as a new way of uncovering a dish, unknown for most parts of the world. 

About the Puzzles.

The puzzles in Pogo Parkour - Recipe for Adventure are quite simple in terms of design, but quite challenging when being related to our unique mechanic. The game features Breakable platforms that will break if the player lands on them a few times.

Providing more challenge, the player encounters moving walls that can push him into water. These walls further in the game can be used as moving bridges, providing for another interpretation of their functionality.

In combination of the previous two puzzles, there is also a door puzzle, requiring the player to navigate through the level to open three coloured door in order to move closer to completing the ingredient list.

About The Developers.

Pogo Parkour - Recipe for Adventure is an advanced prototype for a bigger project. It is developed by Stefan Markovski and Harry Vallance as a part of their MA and MSc at Goldsmiths, University of London 2023 - 2024. It was made using Unity Engine 2022.
